Lipid Panel

Screening for hyperlipidemia is done between 9 to 11 y/o and again between 17-21 year old to detect early increased risk as recommended by American Academy of Pediatrics. This is done by prick method in the finger, no fasting needed.

We do lead level and Hemogram at 1 and 2 year old PE appointments as required by NYS DOH and recommended by American Academy of Pediatrics to detect high lead level and anemia at an early age. This is done by a prick in the toe or finger.
